Bassist, Music Producer, Arranger and Composer Luciano Vasconcelos was born in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil on June 7, 1975.

 

In 1992, he started to learn the first chords on the guitar with his father "Baiá" and his friend Laurinho.

When he turned 17, he had his first contact with the electric bass and at that moment, he began his passion for music and the search for the realization of his dream “Travel the world as a musician”.


New friendships, new paths emerged and led him to meet the excellent bass players of his city... Zé Pantaleão, Guga, Félix Baigon, Gancho, Zé Roberto and Fernando Nunes, who became watersheds for his musical understanding.


In 1995, Luciano Vasconcelos left his city in search of his dream and went to Porto Velho, Rondônia, to be the bassist of a dance band, formed by fellow countrymen and remained for approximately 01 year and 06 months.

Upon returning to his homeland, the world became easier to reach and he continued his dream.


In 1999, Luciano Vasconelos landed in Salvador, Bahia and took over the electric bass for the daring project, titled Lampirônicos. He stayed for 5 years in the band and recorded two albums released by Sony Music's Epic label.

He later became Owner Partner, Composer and Music Producer of the band Navio Negreiro between 2000 and 2005, he was the winner of the European Award, Alarga Sua Vida, in the Word Music category.


In 2004 he competed for the 2004 Caymmi Trophy, in the category of best Music Director.

Currently, Luciano Vasconcelos has lived in Lisbon, Portugal for 8 years and works extensively throughout Lusofonia, Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.
